Foo Fighters have been spotted at Rancho de la Luna Studios in Joshua Tree, Calif.

Foo Fighters appear to be making headway on their upcoming album, and there are pictures to prove it. Dave Catching, owner of Rancho de la Luna Studios in Joshua Tree, Calif., has broken the news that Foo Fighters are recording at the studios by posting some fun photos of Dave Grohl and company on his Instagram account.

One photo shows Grohl holding a long rifle with a comedic scowl on his face. Another shows more of the Foo Fighters guys aiming shotguns into the distance, with picturesque mountains in the backdrop.

Earlier this year, Grohl told the BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe that the band was recording the follow-up to 2011’s “Wasting Light” in a “nuts” way. “We haven’t really disclosed exactly what we are doing,” Grohl said. “We’re doing something that no one really knows about, and we’ll announce pretty soon, I think. I know what it sounds like, and I honestly think the entire concept is really going to take people by surprise and it sounds nuts.”
