Five Finger Death Punch’s Chris Kael and Jason Hook – Story by Anne Erickson

Five Finger Death Punch is giving fans an inside look at the making of their upcoming, eighth studio album

Five Finger Death Punch is hard at work on a new album, and the Las Vegas guys have been posting behind-the-scenes video footage of their recording sessions.

In the latest clip, guitarist Zoltan Bathory says the band’s upcoming, eighth studio album is likely going to be heavier, in the vein of Five Finger Death Punch’s earlier albums.

“It feels like it is gonna be a heavier record. I’m kind of in the ‘War Is The Answer’ (2007) mood — the first, second record, that’s some of the kind of stuff that’s in my head right now,” he said. “It’s always a balance. Jason (Hook) will bring the midtempo, the slower niceties. Naturally, our records always end up being a mixture. It has to be a roller coaster, it has to be a ride. It has to be a full landscape.”

Five Finger Death Punch’s new album is being recorded with their longtime producer, Kevin Churko, in his Las Vegas studio.

In other news, Five Finger Death Punch has a small handful of tour dates up head with In This Moment. Their July run will kick off on July 13th at Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, and run through the end of the month. The band will also perform at a handful of music festivals this summer, including Inkarceration, Rock USA and Impact Music Festival. Find their upcoming tour dates here.
