Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor would love to see the band’s new two-disc concept album made into a movie

Stone Sour singer Corey Taylor is certainly a driven man. Just look at the fact he juggles duties with two blockbuster heavy music bands — Stone Sour and Slipknot — with little downtime between projects. Now, Taylor’s ambitions are so soaring that he wants to see Stone Sour’s upcoming two-disc concept album, “House of Gold & Bones,” to turn into a full-fledged movie.

“Once we’ve toured and we’ve got the music out to everyone, the thing I really wanna do is have two movies — Part 1 and Part 2,” he told Artisan (via Blabbermouth). “With the comic and the story and the music, I think we’ll be able to do it. I already know who I wanna talk to about doing it, so we’ll see what happens.”

In other Stone Sour news, Taylor also says the name “House of Gold & Bones” was inspired, believe it or not, by Abraham Lincoln. He apparently decided to call the album “House of Gold & Bones” after reading some lines in a 2005 biography about Lincoln, called “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln.”

“I got it from…a book about the Lincoln administration,” Taylor told Fuse in a recent video interview. “It was from a letter describing Lincoln’s balance between melancholy and positivity. They described him as being made of gold and bones, and I was like, ‘That’s brilliant.’ I love the visual of that.”
