Corey Taylor Announces 2024 Tour Dates

Not a day goes by when some kind of Corey Taylor-related news doesn’t seem to drop. Today is no different, as Taylor has announced a 2024 North American tour to kick off the year. The news comes a few days after the Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman celebrated his 50th anniversary, which was on Dec. 8.
Taylor will embark on a solo tour starting Feb. 3 in Toronto, Canada, and continue on the road through a March 3 date in Omaha, Nebraska. The tour sees him making stops in a bevy of U.S. cities, including Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Indianapolis, Indiana; San Antonio, Texas; Tulsa, Oklahoma and more.
Taylor took to social media to post a video message to announce the tour. In it, he also thanked fans for their heartfelt birthday wishes. As for tickets, an artist pre-sale begins today (Dec. 12) at 1 p.m. ET using the code CMF2, and a Ticketmaster pre-sale starts Wednesday (Dec. 13) at 10 a.m. local time using the code CREW. Finally, a general on-sale kicks off Friday (Dec. 15) via Ticketmaster.
Taylor is touring to promote his sophomore solo album, “CMF2,” which dropped in September. Regarding the tour, Taylor stated in a release, “The first U.S. tour was such a massive success that we had to raise the stakes on this next leg. We’re so stoked to be going out with Des Rocs and Jigsaw Youth, and ready to turn s*** up a f***ing notch. Get ready for a good f***ing time.”
In other news, Slipknot recently announced that they will hit the road on a 2024 tour in honor of the 25th anniversary of their 1999 self-titled album. So far, the band has announced tour dates for Europe and the U.K., and North American dates are forthcoming.
Switching gears to new music with Slipknot, the band is working on new stuff, and it doesn’t sound like Slipknot. Speaking with NME about new Slipknot music, Taylor said, “I just went back and listened to all that stuff, and it’s so dope and so different. People going into this thinking it sounds like ‘Slipknot’ are so wrong. It doesn’t sound like anything Slipknot have ever done, that’s why it’s its own thing. To me, it really is the long-lost album. The music is so beautiful, it probably has some of my favorite melodies that I’ve done, and people are really going to dig it. Clown did a really good job.”
