Stone Sour will release their sixth studio album this summer

Corey Taylor and the guys of Stone Sour are revealing a few more details about their highly-anticipated, upcoming studio album. In a new video, the guys revealed they will unleash “Hydrograd” in June– the date is June 30, to be exact.

Taylor and the band unleashed the news last weekend in a video that shows band members “kidnapping” a Stone Sour mega-fan. Can you image his excitement? He was beyond pumped.

In the video, Stone Sour picks the fan up from his job in a van and gives him a preview of some tracks off the album. Unfortunately, the video doesn’t allow views to actually hear the music, but it’s still a funny watch. Check out the video via YouTube.

“Hydrograd” will mark Stone Sour’s sixth studio album and their follow-up to 2013’s “House of Gold & Bones — Part 2.” Stone Sour celebrated the 10th anniversary of their breakout album, “Come What(ever) May,” last August. The latter album featured the song “Through Glass,” which thrust the guys into the mainstream.

In other news, Stone Sour are scheduled to do the touring rounds in support of “Hydrograd” on a summer trek with Korn. They’ll also appear at a slew of U.S. festivals, including Chicago Open Air, Rocklahoma and Rock USA.
